STEPHEN HIGGINS MSOM, LAc (HE/HIM)
Graduate Student Intern Adams University and Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and Alternative Therapist
Stephen is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and Alternative Therapist who has practiced Chinese medicine since 2012 and has trained in Body-Centered Psychotherapy (the Hakomi method) since 2016. In 2022 he decided to deepen his counseling work by enrolling in a Master's program to embark on the path toward licensure as a Professional Counselor, and that has led him here--to be available for working with you as an intern with Mindful therapy Pacific Northwest! Stephen works well with individuals who want to get to know themselves better, as well as those who are experiencing various forms of physical, mental, and emotional suffering. He has worked with many folks who are themselves practitioners, small business owners, and creatives, and he often forms longterm care partnerships with his clients wherein they join forces to help them grow over time. He brings a warmhearted approach to the therapeutic relationship through mindfulness-based and somatically-oriented therapy. Stephen is currently enrolled in the Master's of Counseling program at Adams State University and is completing his Practicum and Internship.
Stephen accepts many major insurance plans. He offers therapy via Telehealth and in-person.
